Bright medium red. Very ripe, musky aromas of raspberry, cherry, rose petal, smoke and leather. Fine-grained and sweet, with its red fruit and mineral flavors displaying lovely inner-mouth tension and floral lift. Still a bit imploded but very juicy and promising. Finishes with firm but nicely ripe tannins and a rising note of rose petal. Jadot has vines from the top to the bottom of this premier cru, and on the north side of Beaune it was the lower part of the slope that was more affected by the frost, according to Barnier.
