Dan Kosta, a visionary pioneer in premium domestic Pinot Noir, co-founded Kosta Browne Winery with Michael Browne in 1997. The Admire Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2023 is a brilliant expression of the region's character. Its nose is a fragrant bouquet of red cherries, baking spices, daisy petals, and tangerine zest, while the palate delivers a lively dance of bright red plums, tart cherries, and a touch of cola. The wine's classic Sonoma Coast minerality and fresh acidity create a beautifully balanced profile that lingers on the finish. While it shares the same 94-point rating I gave its riper 2022 counterpart, this vintage offers a distinct charm with its brighter, fresher fruit and enduring concentration.

Cedar and blackberry with blackcurrant and violet aromas. Medium- to full-bodied with hints of hazelnut and chocolate and some olive undertones. So fresh and vivid at the end. All about balance and drinkability. Drink or hold.

While nicely polished and velvety, this wine boasts extremely deep black fruits and full, encompassing tannins that will need several years to resolve for optimum drinking pleasure. Blackberries, blueberries, cinnamon and cloves crowd the palate.
