Bodegas Corral is located on the pilgrimage route known as known as Ruta Jacobea or Way of St. James and the ruins of the San Juan de Acre Pilgrims Hospice are on the winery grounds. The winery was founded by Rioja native Saturnino Daroca, who planted his first vineyards in Sojuela, a small village near Navarrete. Daroca's daughter married Martin Corral who contributed his name and family crest to the winery. This is a classic Crianza with lots of tart cherry flavors and undertones of dusty earth.
