Blue Dog is one of our favorites because we only make it in special years where the blend of Cabernet tastes just right. This wine is about a unique combination of Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards that celebrates the variety across the distinct growing regions of Sonoma and Napa. The framework of dark cherries and plush texture comes from Sonoma, while Napa gives finesse, polish, and black fruits. A unique wine, from a very special year! Blue Dog comes bounding out of the glass with loads of fresh blackberries, black plums, and warm strawberry compote. Silky tannins frame the anise and ripe fig complexities on the decadently layered palate, with a black pepper spice on the long finish. From front to back this wine feels luxurious.
